The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror (not the same Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror responsible for drafting the federal budget) have given out
this years Saturn Awards for the best science-fiction, fantasy, and horror series, movies, and videos. Obviously, Lord of the Rings got quite a few wins. Also getting some awards is my favorite show Farscape, a great off-kilter SF series on (where else?) the Sci-Fi Channel.
Enterprise, another favorite of mine (one of the few shows on TV I bother to watch) also got some nods as well. Actress Jolene Blalock got awards for Female Face of the Future, and Best Supporting TV Actress. This means that she now has another set of fabulous globes to her name.
And yes, I should be ashamed of myself…
