John J. Miller tells the Senate to restore funding for a Pluto exploration mission in 2015.
Space exploration may seem like a waste of money, but the $122 million needed for the mission is not that great a sum of money in the scheme of things. We are the only nation on this Earth that could pull off a mission like this. Pluto won’t be this close for another 248 years, and this is our chance to add to our knowledge of our solar system. We dare not miss this chance to inspire more dreams and expand our knowledge.
