A key member of the Iraqi parliament is suggesting that Iraq will vote to defy the UN Security Council resolution forcing them to unilaterally disarm. This kind of defiance is the surest step towards war, and proves that the Hussein regime will not comply with the mandates of the United Nations.
Expect the members of the Arab League to try to talk the Iraqis down, to no avail. The Iraqis want to have their cake and eat it too. However, an Iraq with weapons of mass destruction is intolerable to the interests of the world, and it appears as though a second showdown with Iraq is all but inevitable.
