Eugene Volokh finds evidence of attempts by the EU to squash freedom of speech on the Internet. Not only do the Europeans want the ICC to have the rights to arbitrarily arrest anyone anywhere for whatever reason they see fit, but they want to ensure that no one can criticize them for doing it.
Then again, don’t expect to see much uproar raised about this – as we all know, the only one who wants to restrict freedom of speech is John Ashcroft. We really don’t need to worry about Europe slipping into an Orwellian police state…
