VP Dick Cheney’s PR leader and GOP strategist Mary Matalin is leaving the White House to spend more time with her family. Matalin has always been an adept strategist for the GOP, and hopefully she will be able to help out in PR issues from time to time like Karen Hughes has.
As with most post-midterm periods, there are likely to be some more resignations from the Bush White House. (The turnover rate for White House personnel tends to be high, as the stresses of such positions are enormous.) Expect to see some new faces in the GW Bush White House in time for the next meeting of Congress.
