FOXNews is reporting via their British affiliate SkyNews that Shi’ite Muslims in Basra are uprising against Ba’ath Party forces remaining in the city. The uprising is being supported by US and coalition artillery and other forces.
If true, it’s another nail in the coffin for the Iraqis not being willing to fight against Saddam Hussein.
