The state of Israel has ordered its military to use "whatever means necessary" to wipe out the terrorist group Hamas today. Israeli helicopters have been attacking suspected terrorist sites with rockets as the IDF mobilizes for all-out war against Hamas.
Meanwhile, the White House now appears to support the crackdown on Hamas. It appears that the Bush Adminstration has finally realized that the road map cannot proceed unless terrorist groups like Hamas end their violence against Israeli citizens.
Hamas must be destroyed or significantly weakened before there can be any hope for a peace process. Hamas has declared war on Israel time and time again, now Israel is returning the favor. With luck, the days for Hamas militants will shortly be numbered.
