While you may have never heard the name of Jerry Goldsmith, you’ve undoubtedly heard his music. Goldsmith is the legendary film composed behind the music to Star Trek (writing the theme for The Next Generation), The Omen, and literally hundreds of other movies and TV shows.
Jerry Goldsmith passed away yesterday at the age of 75 after a long struggle with cancer.
Damn, this country lost one of its best composers, easily as talented as Copeland or Bernstein, but more accessible and prolific.
